Autumn Reflections

Autumn Reflections, Acrylic on Crescent Board, 10"x10", $125
I'm back in the studio after a trip to Maine. The first thing I needed to do after unpacking and doing the laundry was go back over the 30 Day Challenge paintings to see what needed to be fixed.  This one definitely needed work.  I lightened the tree on the far left (it was a really dark red-brown in the original), brightened the yellow and orange trees and chopped up the reflections a bit. I like it a whole lot better now.

The second painting to get a make-over was the one below.  It needed some touching up on the right side of the red-orange clump of trees and on the left side of the yellow tree.  I really like the reflections in this one, so I left those alone.  This painting is off to the Bryan Gallery on November 2 for the annual holiday exhibition which they call GEMS (all the paintings are smaller than 8"x10" framed.)
Autumn Foliage, Acrylic on Gessoboard, 6"x6", $125
Note: Both of these paintings are available for sale via my website - click here - until Nov. 1. After that, you will have to contact the Bryan Gallery at info@bryangallery.org to buy Autumn Foliage. Autumn Reflections will continue to be available on my web site.
