Portraits!

I have been exploring the joys of portraiture for the last couple of years. I am especially interested in integrating looseness and abstraction into my portraits as a way to express the individuality and the personality of the person. This painting is of one of my long-departed aunts. She had a great sense of humor and could be counted on to do something completely unconventional and fun whenever she had a chance.
