Sunflower #9

Sunflower #9, Acrylic on Watercolor Paper, 14.5"x14.5", NFS

Day 10 of the Thirty Day Challenge.  In this painting, I started with the idea of identifying what exactly says "sunflower" to me. I decided that in my mind's eye a sunflower is large, has a big, brown middle, and has yellow petals.  So I set out to do that.  I will probably revisit this painting after the challenge is over, but this is a good start.
