Alliums

Alliums, 6x6 Acrylic on Gessoboard, $100

This painting followed a trip to the grocery store to get a variety of produce that would last long enough for me to get several paintings done.  I bought red and yellow onions, a shallot and a couple of white boiling onions, plus a few leeks for the green.  They didn't all make it into this painting.  I used palette knife for the entire piece.  I've also been playing with various underpaintings in my recent work - in this one, you can see bits of red and pink poking through.
