Fractured Onions

This painting was created using a technique called fracturing by its creator, Julie Ford Oliver.  I used a palette knife and squeegee with Golden's Open Acrylic paints.  You can find the tutorial for this technique on Daily Paint Works in their Art Bytes store.

Note:  It's been a long time since I tried blogging - last time it didn't stick.  During the intervening time, I have tried a lot of different techniques and subject matter with varied results.  I will be sharing some of the pieces that I think were successful as well as my ongoing experiments.
